The Student Guild has trained Member Services Officers who can assist if you require advice and support during any situation which might arise during your time at USQ. In 2009 alone, the Student Guild's Member Services Department has assisted over 100 students in a wide range of matters. We can assist USQ students in the following ways:
Advice on academic requirements and student responsibilities.
Academic support and advice.
Liaising with academic and administration staff.
Protection of your student rights.
Advice on USQ procedures and regulations in particular the USQ Academic Regulations.
Referring students to relevant faculties/departments.
Referring students to outside agencies and bodies.
Investigation of student grievances.
Monitoring University policies.
Representation and advocacy at disciplinary hearings or meetings.
Advice and representation during the appeals process.
Assistance with show cause letters, special consideration applications, and deferred examination requests.
This assistance is provided free of charge and is available to all USQ students including Toowoomba, Fraser Coast, Springfield, and Distance Education students. Just remember, no matter what the problem, there is always somebody here to help. If we can’t help, we’ll know someone who can!
