FC Personal Safety
Personal safety is about taking responsibility for your own safety and avoiding putting yourself in situations that could lead to trouble. When going out at night, keep a clear mind, always know where your friends are and make sure they know where you are. Drink spiking has become a major issue for both men and women and you need to take steps to ensure that you don't become a victim. Always keep an eye on your drink, never leave it out of sight. Buy your own drinks or go the bar with the buyer and watch the drink being poured. If your drink taste strange, don't drink it and if you being to feel light-headed or unwell, notify security and bar staff immediately.

Avoid walking after dark by yourself but if you must, let someone know where you are and what time you expect to be home.

The campus has well lit walkways all around the campus and to to the PCYC carpark. If you are on campus at night and you feel uncomfortable or frightened to walk to your car at night, contact security by calling ext 8100 from any of the phones on campus and they will be happy to assist you. Please allow 20 minutes for security to arrive, if you are in danger contact the Police immediately, make sure you call 0 000. The police will respond much quicker than security.

Avoid taking unnecessary risks, when it come to your wellbeing.
