If you require legal assistance during your time at Uni, it’s
nice to know that there is someone available to help. The Student Guild, in conjunction with South
Queensland Law, provides a free legal service to all USQ students, and can
assist you in your time of legal need. The initial
consultation with South Queensland Law is free for all USQ Students including
Toowoomba, Fraser Coast, Springfield, and Distance Education students. Legal matters frequently dealt with include:
- Rental, employment and contract
issues.
- Family Law including parental
issues, mediation and divorce.
- Estates and wills.
- Immigration issues.
- Motor vehicle accidents and
insurance.
- Criminal issues.
- Consumer issues including debt.
- Other legal issues such as
negligence, defamation, and social security.
The legal service operates from the CBRC every Wednesday. Appointments via phone can also be arranged. For more information or to book your legal
